Foss Waterway Seaport
The Foss Waterway Seaport is a heritage museum that features hands-on displays, a wooden boat shop, as well as a functional dock. Imagine a faithfully restored 124-year old building that has served the shores of Tacoma since it was built and now houses the greatest collection of marine history in the South Sound. The seaport museum today is equal parts education facility, boat shop, maritime museum, dock, moorage, and iconic events venue.

Duckworks Boat Builder's Supply 
Duckworks Boat Builder's Supply is a small, family business that has been helping boat builders (and others) for almost 20 years. Whether you are starting from scratch or simply need new hardware, line, or other gear for an existing boat—they can help. They have boat plans from over 36 designers (and counting), from the smallest dinghy to ocean-going vessels. They can also help you with epoxy, fiberglass, paint, marine hardware, rope, tools and loads of other gear. Our sister website, Duckworks Magazine, features 19 years worth of articles written by boatbuilders and designers construction techniques, problem solving, cruising, and more.

Northwest Maritime
The Northwest Maritime is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to engage and educate people of all generations in traditional and contemporary maritime life, in a spirit of adventure and discovery. We’re many things, and at our core we are a campus that uses powerful maritime experiences to educate, inspire people to adventure, and celebrate our maritime culture. We do it for our own love of boats, in service to the local community and maritime industry, but mostly because regardless of the subject, the sea is the most powerful teacher we know.
