    Hello fellow racers,

Does anyone have any leads on places near Lake Washington or Union to store an Angus Expedition (18′ long)? I’ve been wheeling it a mile down to Lake Washington but this isn’t ideal as I’d like to be out on the water more frequently to be training for the race in 2 (!) weeks.

I’ve emailed or called just about every marina in Seattle but most seem to only cater to moored boats, and some of the local rowing clubs don’t have room and/or require a monthly membership on top of storage fees. I’m hoping to find spot in a (semi-secure?) driveway or parking lot located near a public beach or shore access.

    Any creative ideas?

    Thanks in advance,
    Matt

http://kenmorewac.org/canoe-and-kayak/public-boat-storage/ looks like they’re setup for longer term, but maybe they could help out.

Sail Sand Point has a yard with nearby beach launch. You’ll need to check if they have space available.

Queen City Yacht Club is a possibility. Dock and storage space for small boats is not easy to come by.
